Samantha Barakat Light founded Body Catalyst five years ago in Sydney, with the purpose of helping people make a physical and emotional shift.
Her experience in health science, coupled with her curiosity in body sculpting, led her on a quest to seek technology that could help people who led an otherwise healthy life, improve their physical appearance, their dietary intake - their general well-being.
‘When I learned of cryolipolysis - non-surgical liposuction - I was excited to find a treatment that worked with the body’s natural processes. Up until then, changing the shape of the body was a luxury reserved for the likes of celebrities or the very wealthy. My vision was to make this technology accessible to everyone.”
Demand for her non-surgical fat reduction grew so rapidly that she moved from her shared Sydney CBD space to keep up, opening her first stand alone clinic in 2014, followed by another two, then her first foray into Melbourne.
Samantha shares:- “Melbourne is such a wonderful fit for Body Catalyst. Lifestyles are generally well-balanced, people are healthy, curious and keen on improving themselves.
Our newly-opened clinic on the bustling Glenferrie Road, our fourth in Melbourne, is no exception. What an amazing community! From pre-opening we’ve had shopkeepers, tradespeople, office workers, school mums and dads, and even a farmer, tapping on our door wanting to know what we’re about. It’s been extremely positive and very exciting.
We have been wonderfully received and are thrilled to be helping the Hawthorn community and beyond on their self-improvement journey.”
With her highly trained staff, who are all nutritionists, Samantha is on a quest to share dietary knowledge, positive lifestyle choices and cutting-edge technology to help people tone, tighten, reduce and shape their way into the best version of themselves.
Body Catalyst is located at 812 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn
